The Saints Go Marching In

SYNOPSIS The project C I N Z A, curated by Patricia do Vale, was born from a dialogue between contemporary artistic proposals and African cultural roots. Through dance, music and plastic arts, it aims to contribute to the development of mutual knowledge and the enrichment of the community.
In the Danceworkshop CINZA, guided by Joana von Mayer Trindade - Choreographer, Hugo Calhim Cristovão -Theatre Director, and Paulo Costa - Musician, the rhythms and landscapes of the target community were worked out with a view to creating transformative and emancipatory artistic experiences for all involved in the process, through proposals that allow to oscillatebetween the real, the natural, the geometric and the chaotic.
