Insatiability in the case or at the same time a miracle
Hugo Calhim Cristóvão & Joana von Mayer Trindade
SYNOPSIS The decisive clue for the creative process is Almada Negreiros: "Nostalgia is the passive masturbation of those who don’t realise that nature is sufficiently varied that there is no need to look backwards. Speed is driven by enthusiasm and never disengages from happiness." With Negreiros we associate Maximalism with Dadaism and Surrealism, with "speed", greediness of being, including and conjugating: "Eternity does indeed exist, but not so slowly." The piece is based on Negreiros, on his speed in awakening brains in the body, the unrepeatable orchestra of the new consumed at running speed, in maximum ambitions that refuse the smallest of common denominators. The artistic option focuses on excess, on the overlapping of standards, on the association of disparate elements, on the meaningless, non-discursive andnon-demonstrable. On the maze of mutable geometries, a game of mirrors without an original and primary image, speed and paradox; a game of disjunction that conjugates the apparently incongruous and the non-assimilable.

PUBLICATION
In 2016, Teixeira de Pascoaes constituted the theoretical basis of a project entitled "Heaven is just a blue disguise of hell", in which the Institute of Philosophy and the Nuisis Zobop - Cultural Association for Creation, Research and Training in the field of Performing Arts collaborated, with the support of DGARTES (Direção-Geral das Artes) and GDA Foundation. In an attempt to confront the darkness of the contemporary world and in dialogue with a poem by the poet-philosopher of Amarante, it was the poem titled "Darkness" that gave rise to a broad approach in which literature and philosophy were added to dance, to theater and to music. In 2017, it was the turn of Almada Negreiros to serve as a starting point for a similar approach. Even though Almada is also the author of a poem entitled "Darkness", it was the text: "K4, The Blue Square", which, although otherwise refers also to the darkness - of the human, of the world and time - constitute the basis of the project presented here: "Insatiability in the case or at the same time a miracle".
