Heaven is just a blue disguise of hell

SYNOPSIS The creation “Heaven is just a blue disguise of Hell" (from a poem of Teixeira de Pascoaes) deals with visions, representations, and heresies that Heaven and Hell, Demonic and Angelic, assumed in Portuguese Culture, and does so under the sign of Relation: carnal, conceptual and a poetic. Of a "carnal love spiritualized by pain.".
This creation aims at recovering such heavens and hells from their disguises. With fear and excitement. In a steady stream of dissolving borders, of freeing movements, of drives and intensities.
The concepts of "Chaotic" (Deleuze) and "Id" (Freud) also stand as tools to work with. In order to deal with vibrations, speeds, intensities, sensations, shocks. The chaotic as s creator of dissonances, tensions, of conflicts that feed themselves from pleasure and repressed residues. Of heaven and hell.

A verse by the Portuguese writer Teixeira de Pascoaes, "Heaven is just a blue disguise of Hell", gave the title and the theme to the broad project, presented to us by the researcher Hugo Calhim Cristóvão belonging to the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto. Broad project, we underline it, because diverse in it's forms of approach: united as they rarely are united - literature, dance, philosophy, music and theater in its widest sense. Broad project, also because multiple in their physical locations, despite its temporal concentration: Bacau, Romenia, in 2015; Porto, Vila do Conde, Viana do Castelo, Ílhavo, Lisbon in Portugal and Berlin in Germany during the season and the academic year 2015-2016.
